Brandon Hogue Crossley, age 43, passed away peacefully on September 3rd, 2025 after a short struggle with a previously undiagnosed heart condition. Brandon was born on August 17th, 1982 in Knoxville Tennessee to Cindy Mason Crossley and Phillip Hogue Crossley.
The first of his many adventures was attending the 1982 World's Fair; however, he probably did not remember that, as he was a baby. In his short time here he had many family adventures, including sailing the Virgin Islands, spending a month traveling Europe, skiing Canadian and Western slopes, and multiple extended road trips out West. He loved fishing both in fresh and salt water. He spend a lot of time fishing on the Alabama Gulf coast at his grandparent's beach house. Checking crab traps in the bay was always a highlight for him. You could find him fishing here locally most weekends on the surrounding lakes, and rivers.
Brandon settled into Commercial property management, and was the right hand man at Keystone Center. He was a fountain of knowledge. Knowledge you didn't know you needed to know, or wanted to know, he was always sharing information. He also enjoyed gardening, and sharing his vegetable bounty with others to enjoy. Cooking, creating recipes, and the glorious grilling of meat were but a few of his talents. Antagonizing his favorite (only) older sister from a young age brought him much joy. Brandon's friends describe him as loyal, smart, thoughtful, creative, and a gag gifter. Did we mention fishing? He fed many happy people with his fishing prowess. He was a founding member of the Monday Burger Club, where he enjoyed good food and fellowship with his friends every week.
Brandon was preceded in death by his father Phillip Hogue Crossley; Grandparents Cooper H. Crossley, Spencer Mason, and Mae Willa Mason.
He is survived by his mother Cindy Mason Crossley; sister Charissa (Eric) Oglesby; nephew/niece Rhea and Morgan Oglesby; grandmother Carolyn Crossley Garnett; uncle Lyle (Nancy) Crossley, Aunt Lee (Frank) Morra; uncle Herby (Gayle) Mason; many cousins; dear friends; and Buddy (his constant companion and side kick, a horse sized dog).
The family would like to thank the caregivers, nurses, doctors, and staff at Parkwest Hospital CCU for the wonderful love and care they provided, not only Brandon, but the entire family, over his two week stay.
The visitation will be held on September 20th, 2025 from 2-3PM at Click Funeral Home in Farragut. The celebration of life will immediately follow.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to St. Jude's.
