Brandon Day Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home on Feb. 25, 2026.
Brandon Paul Day, age 35, of Acworth (formerly of LaFayette) passed away on Friday, February 20, 2026.

He was as genuine as they come, laid back and full of kindness. He didn't have to say much for people to feel how big his heart was. He showed his love in simple everyday ways, always checking on people, listening, and making sure everyone around him felt cared for. Even when life was heavy, he kept giving his whole heart to the people he loved. He put family and friends first with a steady, loyal love that everyone who knew him will always remember.

He had a big personality tucked inside his quiet ways, and he never failed to make others laugh. He found joy in simple moments like being outdoors, riding motorcycles as a kid, fishing, and spending time with the people he cherished most. He was a dedicated hard worker who truly loved his job and took pride in what he did. Above all, he was loved by many. His humor, his warmth, and his deep, unwavering love for his family and friends will remain in the hearts of those who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Misty Mitchell; and grandmothers, Louise Day and Jimmie Brown.

Brandon is survived by his father, Brian (Jill) Day; sisters, Mattie Day and Marlie Day; brother, Channing Mitchell; grandparents, Wayne Day, Richard Brown, and Jimmy (Linda) Alexander; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday, February 27, in the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel with Elder Don Shields and Shane Harris officiating.

Interment will take place at Trinity Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Tyson McWhorter, Jesse Tatum, Witt Pierce, Josh Brown, Channing Mitchell, Mattie Day, and Marlie Day.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, February 26, at the funeral home.

Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
