Scott Owen Obituary
He and his wife owned and operated S & A Tile, a business they began together in Los Angeles, CA, starting humbly from their garage where they crafted intricate mosaic tiles by hand. After relocating to LaFayette, he continued his work as a skilled tile contractor, becoming well known for his beautiful mosaic tile designs that adorned many kitchens and bathrooms throughout the area. His craftsmanship and attention to detail left a lasting mark in the homes of many in the community. In his free time, he especially enjoyed fishing. Scott attended Trinity Tabernacle with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ron and Judith Wear Owen.
Scott is survived by his loving wife, Zelma "Annie" Owen; daughter, Christy Mae and Terry Rodriguez; sons, Brian Owen, and John and Mike Gunnels; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; three brothers; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, March 22, at Trinity Tabernacle 2029 Ringgold Road, LaFayette, GA 30728.
Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
