Mitchell Clarence Owen

Mitchell Clarence Owen Jr. Passed Tuesday, March 10, 2026. He was born on December 3rd, 1952, in Gallatin, TN to Mitchell 'Clarence' & Wendy Owen. He was a graduate Greenwood High School, class of 1971. After graduation he attended ITT Technical Institute and earned an associate's degree engineering in 1973. He then worked at Mallory Controls for 30 plus years and gained many wonderful friends along the way. He enjoyed all things automotive, technology and science. He had a very special talent for fixing anything and everything. He was always able to construct anything imaginable out materials he had laying around.

He married Linda Burk in 1978 and they had a daughter, Casey in 1987.

In his younger years, he loved water skiing at Dale Hollow, snow skiing, tennis, and golf. In his retirement, most of all, he loved spending time with family, friends and grandchildren. He was a member of the Mallory Conservation Club and loved the great outdoors.

He was survived by his daughter Casey (Nathan) Hedeen; Grandchildren Kellan, Penelope and Mack Hedeen; Sisters Vicki (Dan) Williams and Glynda Young. Preceded in death by Parents Mitchell Clarence Owen Sr. and Wendolyn (Moss) Owen. Siblings Lori Phillips and Shane Owen
