Brandon M. Grimes was born on May 15, 2003 In Cincinnati, Ohio to the union of Demetrius A. Grimes and Lisa A. Grimes. He passed away unexpectantly September 9, 2025.
He was known as “Big B” and “Uncle B.” .Brandon was a very humble and easy spoken young man. If someone needed help he would not hesitate. Brandon was very well versed in God’s word and his faith and walk was very clear in his life.
He graduated from Coleraine High School with honors in 2015. During Brandon’s years at North West School District from elementary through high school Brandon made many friends because of his kind and funny personality. During Brandon’s time with Colerain he played football from elementary through high school. But his true passion was basketball. Because of his exceptional skills he was nick named “ Shooter B”. Brandon played Xbox 1 when he was just chilling at home with his nephew, ManMan and his cousins, Devon and Mikke and could be heard screaming at the game.
When Brandon became a father he was so happy and gave his love and time with no hesitation, by taking Brandon Jr. to the park and teaching him to walk and watching Spiderman everyday. Brandon enjoyed cooking and grilling he loved to challenge me and his dad on the grill. Brandon stepped up to being a loving uncle and present uncle to his nephew ManMan after his brother passed away. Brandon had started his own pressure washing business.
He was preceded in death by grand parents, Fred and Mattie James, Darlene Jones and Clyde, uncles, Ronald James and Robert Taul, brother, Demetrius Grimes Jr., cousin, George Brooks, aunts, Treva Grimes, Diane James and Tonya Tipton.
He is survived by his son, Brandon M. Grimes Jr. ; the love of his life, Tiana; father, Demetrius Grimes Sr. ( Geraldine); mother, Lisa A. Grimes Reed (Terrence); grandfather, Acie Grimes Sr; brothers, Shawntiz, Marvell, Sidney and Leevell; sister, Pricella; stepsisters, Chrystal (Kenneth), Yolunda, Danielle, Mecca and Candace; step brothers, Little Terry and Tman; uncles, Acie Grimes Jr. (Linda), Edward Grimes, Rev. Glenn James ( Venita), Rev. Fred James (Mary) and Aaron James; aunts, Judy Daniels (Jay) Linda Wallace (Daryl) Tracy James and Paula Taul.
Brandon will be truly missed by his family and friends.
