Brandon R. Lively, 21, of Chester, Virginia, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2024. Born December 26, 2002, he was the son of Mindy Sands and Gary Lively. He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Helen Jenkins, and great-grandparents, Barbara and Ralph Thoner.
Brandon was a member of the Kenwood United Methodist Church. He had recently joined Dupont as a machine operator and was looking forward to his new career. In his free time, he enjoyed long rides on his motorcycle or in his Camaro, listening to music, playing videogames, and spending time with his friends and family.
He is survived by his mother, Mindy Sands; father, Gary Lively; stepfather, Walt Sands and wife, Beth; brothers, Jameson Sands and Zachary Lively and wife, Morgan; nephew on the way, Carson Lively; great-grandparents, Raymond and Mary Jenkins; grandmother, Karen Lively; grandfather, Christy Perkinson; uncle, Randy Perkinson and wife, Lora; friend, Wyatt Gross, who was like a big brother to Brandon; friend, Truce Lavan, who was like a little brother to him; and several other loved family members and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 22, 2024, at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia, 23834. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m., Sunday, July 21, 2024, at the Funeral Home. Interment will take place at East Matoaca Cemetery, 21688 Memorial Ave, Matoaca, Virginia, 23803.
