Brandon Shevela Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Adamson Life Celebration Home on Jan. 24, 2025.
Brandon W. Shevela, of Lakewood, CO, passed away on January 17, 2025, after a courageous month-long battle with pneumococcal pneumonia. Born on November 10, 1995, in Greeley, CO, to Miles and Lynn Shevela, Brandon lived a life full of passion and adventure. He accepted Jesus into his heart early in life and was later baptized at church on the same day as his brother Colton.
He attended schools in Greeley, graduating from Greeley West High School, before studying at the Colorado School of Mines. While in school, Brandon discovered his love for cooking, working at various restaurants. This passion led him to Noodles & Co in Lakewood, CO, where he met the love of his life, Hope. They married on June 28, 2022, a day when Brandon not only gained a wife but also a beautiful step-daughter, Kyra, whom he cherished as his own.
Brandon had a deep love for the mountains and the outdoors. He and Hope often spent time in the Rocky Mountains, creating countless memories in their favorite spots. When snow covered the ground, Brandon and Kyra delighted in building snow forts and sledding.
Known for his dry sense of humor, a trait inherited from his dad, Brandon brought smiles and laughter to many with his witty remarks and playful antics.
He is survived by his loving wife, Hope, and step-daughter, Kyra, both of Lakewood, CO; his parents, Miles and Lynn, of Evans, CO; his brother, Colton, sister-in-law Cassie, and nephew John, all of Lakewood, CO; and his mother-in-law, Misty Conrad, also of Lakewood, CO. Brandon is also survived by his grandparents, Ron and Virginia Shevela, of Glendive, MT, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Myron and Phyllis Schultz, Uncle Dave Shevela, Uncle Larry Haggerty, and several cousins.
Brandon loved his pets-both dogs and cats-so in lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Foothills Animal Shelter, 580 McIntyre St., Golden, CO 80401, or go online to https://foothillsanimalshelter.org/and click on the red donation box in the upper right-hand corner of the page.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place, and Brandon's ashes will be laid to rest in Montana, alongside his grandparents, Myron and Phyllis Schultz. Some of his ashes will also be scattered in the mountains he so dearly loved.

I was so very sad to read about Brandon. He brought a big heart and laughter to our Sunday School class when he was just a preschooler, and early years of school. Despite being the youngest of kids of varying ages in our small class, Brandon held his own quite well. He was a joy. I am so sorry for your loss.

I am so very sorry to hear of your loss. Brandon worked for us at TCBY a few years ago and he was a joy and a delight to have as an employee. We were sad to have him leave us, and even sad to hear that he has passed. May God sustain youand your family as you grieve his loss. I´m happy to know that he had a relationship with Jesus and that he was with him today. God bless you all.

Miles and Lynn, I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your son. He is in heaven now with his wonderful grandparents, Myron and Phyllis. I adored your mom while working with her at United Way and I'm glad I had the pleasure of meeting you (Lynn) and your dad through your mom. My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family.
