Brandon G. Thompson, 41, of East Moline, IL, passed away Thursday, November 21, 2024, at University of Iowa Medical Center, Iowa City, IA.
A memorial Celebration of Brandon's life will be from 1 to 4 p.m., Monday, December 2nd, at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline. Memorials may be made to the family for his children.
Brandon was born February 28, 1983, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, to Thomas and Sharon (Capley) Thompson. He married Jerri L.I. Caldwell on September 19, 2009, in Coal Valley, IL.
Brandon was employed at LMT Defense, Eldridge, IA.
He was a true Southern boy, talented builder and craftsman who loved the outdoors, fishing, RC boats, and avid Tennessee Vols fan. Some of his favorite times were those spent with friends and family, to whom he was fondly known as "Redneck". He will be greatly missed by all.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Jerri, of East Moline; daughter, Peyton Thompson (Derek Rasso), East Moline; and stepson, whom he considered his own, Morgan Caldwell, East Moline; mother, Sharon Capley Thompson, Jasper, TN; father, Thomas (Jodie) Thompson, Dayton, TN; siblings, Kendyl (Douglas) Thompson Stokes, Franklin, TN, and Thomas Cody (Kara) Thompson, Columbia, TN; stepsiblings, Stephen Thomas and Wallace Thomas, Dayton, TN; nieces, Kaitlyn and Adeline Stokes; stepnieces, Madison and Haylee James; nephew, Thomas Eli Thompson; maternal grandmother, Evelyn Capley; uncles and aunts, John (Mary Beth) Brady, Jeff (Vicki) Capley, Charles Thompson, Nancy (Wendell) Merrell and Elaine (Allan) Gray; great-aunt, Shirley Broome; father-in-law, Danny Caldwell; and numerous cousins and other family.
Brandon was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Leonard Capley; paternal grandparents, Robert C. and Ruth M. Thompson; and mother-in-law, Pamela A. Caldwell.
