Brandon Kyle Whiteside, 34, was born September 26th, 1988 in Columbia, SC, to John Whiteside and Pamela Williams Whiteside.
Brandon was a curious little boy and had the most beautiful smile. He grew up in many locations across Lexington County, SC but he always found himself back home in Cayce, SC. He graduated from Brookland-Cayce High School in 2007 and later enlisted into the Army where he served in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Brandon loved exploring outdoors with his father when he had the chance, riding motorcycles, and just being with his family. He was a free spirit unlike no other and loved to spend his time at the gym. Brandon was a mama’s boy and was so loving. He knew how to be loyal and he knew how to be strong. Brandon tragically passed away on his way to work Friday, February 24th.
He will forever be 34 and will always be known for being a great brother, son and dad.
Brandon is survived by his sons Caden and Brenden; his siblings Dana, Rebecca (Shawn), Ethan, and Jonathan; his parents John and Pamela; and his grandmother Jean. He had five nieces and nephews, Abigail, Nathaniel, William, Adeline and Caelan as well as many cousins.
A celebration of life will be held at 12 p.m. on Friday, March 3, 2023, at Red Bank Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Jeff Wright officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Entombment will follow immediately after at Southland Memorial Gardens in West Columbia, and the procession will have motorcycle escorts.
In lieu of flowers, the family has set up a GoFundme to help take care of funeral expenses.
The family has entrusted McAlister-Smith Funeral & Cremation State Street with the handling of arrangements.
