Braxton Wayne Short, 13 days old, passed away on February 27, 2026. Braxton was a precious baby boy born at 26 weeks gestation with an identical twin brother. Braxton is survived by Kaleigh Keel (Mother), Austin Short (Father), Beau Michael Short (Brother), Braelynn Short (Sister), Gary and Brandi Grant (Grandparents), Mickey and Stephanie Still (Grandparents), Billy and Tamara Keel (Grandparents), Robbie Staten (Great-Grandmother), Junior Keel (Great-Grandpa), Keith and Elaine Denley (Great- Grandparents), Steve and Mylene Stringer (Great-Grandparents), Tim and Patty Staten (Great-Grandparents), Shelby Short (Aunt), Kadance Keel ( Aunt), Grayson Still (Uncle), Gavin Still (Uncle), Emsley Copeland (Cousin), Avalinn Short (Cousin). He is proceeded in death by Sharon Keel (Great-Grandmother), Jo Lynn Lampley (Great-Grandmother), Clifford Wayne Hogue (Great-Grandfather), Mike Still (Great- Grandfather), Debbie Davis (Great Aunt), Lottie and Lamar Still (Great-Great-Grandparents), Lola Collum (Great-Great Grandmother), Wilma and Shade Garber (Great-Great-Grandparents), Paul and Frances Haney (Great-Great-Grandparents). Visiting hours will take place at Hernando Funeral Home on March 7, 2026 from 10am until service at 11am. Graveside service will follow at Hernando Memorial Park.
