It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the untimely passing of Brayden Todd “Bubba” Hatchell, who left this world on Wednesday, March 12, 2025. Brayden was a vibrant, joyful spirit whose presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.

A celebration of Brayden’s life will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Dominion Church in Darlington, SC. The service will be officiated by Pastor Kyle Meyer, and all are welcome to join in remembering and honoring Brayden’s life. Following the service, the family will greet friends and loved ones to share in their memories and support one another during this difficult time.

Brayden was born on October 1, 2009, in Hartsville, SC, to Ashley Renee Floyd and Brandon Todd Hatchell. From a young age, Brayden demonstrated a keen intelligence and a zest for life. A standout student, he was proud to be a magnet student at both Brockington Elementary and Darlington Middle School. His quick wit and boundless energy made him a joy to be around. Whether he was making others laugh with his infectious sense of humor or lighting up a room with his warm smile, Brayden had a way of drawing people in and making them feel at ease.

In addition to his academic talents, Brayden had a passion for gaming. He spent countless hours immersed in his favorite video games and enjoying his digital adventures. But his love was not confined to the virtual world alone. Brayden had a deep affection for his dog, Smokey, and the bond they shared was truly special. He was also a fan of the outdoors, enjoying the thrill of riding four-wheelers and dirt bikes.

Brayden’s love for life extended beyond his hobbies, He was a cherished son, grandson, nephew, and friend. Left to carry on his memory are his mother, Ashley Renee Floyd of Society Hill, SC; his father, Brandon Todd Hatchell of Darlington, SC; his maternal grandparents, Wayne and Carolyn Chapman of Society Hill, SC; his paternal grandmother, Donna Lloyd of Hartsville, SC; his aunt, Sandy “Aunt Sandy Cheeks” Johnson of Walnut Cove, NC; and his uncle, Dustin “Uncle Dusty” Hatchell of Newberry, SC.

Brayden’s passing leaves a void that can never be filled, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. His family and friends find comfort in knowing that his love and laughter will echo through their lives forever.
