Brenda Kaye Amburn, 62, of Knox City, passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2025. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Condolences may be made at www.haskellfuneralhometx.com.
Brenda was born August 13, 1963 in Fort Worth, Texas to the late Bobby Ray Amburn and Timpie Jeanette Choate Amburn and later adopted and raised by the late Jesse James Amburn and Lois Ruth McDaniel. She married Dale Clopton, the love of her life, on March 15, 2025 in Knox City. She was a member of the Abundant Life Church in Knox City, Texas.
She had a heart of gold and a beautiful giving spirit. She was always willing to do anything for anyone. She cherished the little things in life especially fishing with her friends and family. Her favorite moments were spent simply relaxing with her spouse watching their favorite television shows, playing on her phone and enjoying each other’s company.
Brenda is survived by her husband, Dale Clopton of Knox City; daughter, April McClain of Childress; granddaughter, Evelyn McClain and grandson, Nathaniel McClain of Childress; sisters, Sherry Vaught of Longview, Texas and Debbie Bates of Kilgore, Texas; brothers, Albert Amburn and Michael Amburn, both of Kilgore; numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and a host of dear friends.
