Brenda Joyce Atkinson, a spirited soul known for her love of adventure and the open road, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2025, in Greer, SC. Born on January 13, 1951, in Spartanburg, SC, Brenda's life was a journey marked by freedom, love, and the roar of her beloved Harley Davidson.

Brenda was the cherished daughter of the late Rachel and Napoleon Dickerson. She grew up in a lively household alongside her siblings, Faye Sanders, Rhonda Crowe, Robert Dickerson, Gary Dickerson, and the late Harold Dickerson. Her life was further enriched by the love and companionship of her late husband, David Atkinson, with whom she shared many of life's greatest adventures.

Brenda's passion for life was evident to all who knew her. She was a loving mother to her sons, Mark Dill, Jamie Dill, and Daniel Rodgers, who inherited her free-spirited nature and sense of adventure. Brenda's love extended beyond her family to her cherished dogs, who were her constant companions and shared in her many escapades.

A true free spirit, Brenda never missed an opportunity to explore the highways and byways of the USA on her Harley. Her presence was a staple at Myrtle Beach Bike Week, where she reveled in the camaraderie and the freedom that came with riding. Brenda's adventurous spirit was matched only by her loving nature, as she was always ready to lend a helping hand or share a moment of joy with friends and family.

Those who knew Brenda will remember her as a woman of great spirit and love. Her adventurous heart and the wind in her hair were as much a part of her as her infectious laugh and warm embrace. She lived her life with a zest that inspired all around her, and her memory will continue to be a beacon of light for those she leaves behind.

Brenda's legacy is carried on by her loving family, including her sisters Faye Sanders and Rhonda Crowe, her brothers Robert and Gary Dickerson, and her sons Mark and Jamie Dill. Her spirit, love, and sense of adventure will forever be etched in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known her.

As the sun sets on Brenda's final ride, we take comfort in knowing that she lived life to the fullest, with the throttle open and love in her heart. Her journey on this earth may have ended, but her spirit will continue to soar on the open road, guiding us all to live with the same courage and joy that she embodied every day. Brenda Joyce Atkinson will be deeply missed, but her legacy will ride on forever in the stories shared and the memories cherished by all who loved her.
