Brenda Joyce Barnwell

Funeral services for Brenda Joyce Barnwell, 80, of Jacksonville, Alabama, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 13, 2026, at K.L. Brown Funeral Home with Reverend David Daniel officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Barnwell passed away Tuesday morning, February 10, 2026, at Piedmont Health Care.

She is survived by her son, Nunnally Williams and wife, Vanessa; granddaughter, Tiffany Parker and husband, Dillon; grandson, Brent Williams; brother, Danny Whaley; sisters, Doris Drummonds and husband, Mike, Beverly Medley, and Rita Benefield; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Nunnally Williams, Sr. and William Barnwell; her son, Joey Williams; her parents, J.B. and Lois Whaley; and sisters, Debra Keel and Betty Whaley.

Pallbearers will be Terry Benefield, Jeff Benefield, Brandon Keel, Opie Keel, Mike Drummonds, Scott Holiday, and Wendell Thompson.

Mrs. Barnwell worked in housekeeping at Jacksonville State University, where she made many lasting friendships over the years. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who dearly loved her grandchildren. She attended Tredegar Chapel Congregational Holiness Church until her health no longer allowed her to attend.
