Brenda Lucille Conway, 75, a longtime resident of the Kansas City area, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, October 7, 2025. Brenda was born on June 21, 1950, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Robert Loos and Barbara (Brammer) Smith. When her parents separated at the age of six, Brenda was embraced by the strong and loving support of her extended family. Her mother moved into a larger home in South Kansas City, bringing as many family members under one roof as she could. Sundays quickly became a treasured tradition, filled with large family dinners shared with her mother, brother, grandparents, and great-grandparents; a tradition that continued well into Brenda's adult life.

She often spoke fondly of her childhood in Kansas City, recalling joys like ice skating at Swope Park, picnics at Lake Jacomo, and shopping trips to Pinkie's Ben Franklin and the Country Club Plaza. Brenda worked at Klein's Department Store and Woolworth's during her early years and was active in various youth organizations. She was a Girl Scout, Brownie, Blue Bird, and even served as President of her Methodist youth group. As she got older, she enjoyed bowling in local leagues, one of which would eventually lead her to meet the love of her life, Keith Conway.

Brenda dedicated the majority of her professional life to serving as a Youth Care Worker at Crittenton Center in Kansas City. She found deep fulfillment in supporting the youth and forming close bonds with staff. Her creative spirit and outgoing personality made her a natural in this role and left a lasting impression on many.

Family and friends were at the heart of Brenda's world. Her warmth, humor, and compassion were infectious. She had a remarkable gift for making people feel seen and included, often drawing even the quietest person out of their shell. Brenda will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, her radiant smile, and her ability to light up a room with laughter and love.

She is now reunited with her beloved husband of 42 years, Keith Conway. Brenda was preceded in death by her mother Barbara Smith; her father Robert Loos; her brother Brian Loos; and her son-in-law Steven Norris. Brenda's legacy lives on through her three children: Barbara (Doug) January, Rebecca Wall-Norris, and Michael (Noora) Conway. She also leaves behind her cherished grandsons, Randy and Levi, her great-granddaughter, Freyja, and her loving companion Hershey Dog.

Visitation will be 10am, Friday, November 7, 2025, followed by a Celebration of Life at 11am, at Heartland Cremation and Burial Society, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown, Missouri 64133.
