Brenda M. Durden, 64 of DeLeon Springs passed away at her residence on June 27, 2025. She was born in DeLand, FL on September 6, 1960 and graduated from Taylor High School in 1978. She was a surgical scheduler and worked for AdventHeath for 33 years. Brenda enjoyed softball and was Miss Volusia County Fast Pitch. She loved watching her nieces and nephews play sports and especially loved watching her granddaughters play volleyball. Brenda was an active member of City Sanctuary, where she was very involved in the prayer ministries and very dedicated to the Altar Ministry. She was predeceased by her husband, James Durden, in 2007. Survivors include her three children, Kyle Durden, Chaundria Campusano (Areli) and Alysa Durden (Bryan Legons); grandchildren Adrianna and Jaelyn Campusano and Greyson Legons; sisters Kathy Whidden (John) and Teresa Rogers; brother J.J. Friend (Robin) and aunt Alice Ellis (Dick). The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 3rd from 6-8pm at Allen-Summerhill Funeral Home DeLand. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 5th at 11am at City Sanctuary.
