Brenda Gail Eddleman, a cherished matriarch and beacon of strength, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2025, in Greenville, SC, at the age of 72. Born on November 5, 1952, in Fountain Inn, SC, Brenda was a woman of remarkable resilience and ingenuity, whose love for her family knew no bounds.

The daughter of the late Bill Hughes and Eloise Craft, but lovingly raised by Bubba, Brenda's life was a testament to the power of family and the enduring spirit of a caring heart. She was the beloved sister to Ellie, Clyde, and Ricky, and was predeceased by five brothers who held a special place in her life.

Brenda's legacy is carried on by her devoted daughters, Amanda Simmons, Nicol Sherman, and Tabitha Darnell, married to Grant. She was a proud grandmother to Ronnie, Ryan, Hunter, Quade, and Hailey, and a doting great-grandmother to Nick and Bella of the home, and 14 other great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to her life. She will also be missed by a host of nieces and nephews. Her granddaughter Ashley, who predeceased her, remained a cherished memory in Brenda's heart.

Known affectionately as "Brenda vila" for her ability to fix anything that came her way, Brenda was the epitome of intelligence, creativity, and handiness. Her work on the paper route was more than a job; it was an extension of her commitment to her community and her innate desire to stay active and involved.

Brenda's interests were as diverse as her talents. As someone who truly enjoyed fishing, she found solace and pleasure in the tranquility of nature. At home, she was the quintessential homemaker, raising not only her children but also nurturing many others who were drawn to her warmth and wisdom. Her love for coffee was only surpassed by her love for her family, to whom she was known as a pillar of strength and independence.

Most importantly, Brenda loved her family fiercely and without reservation. Her home was a haven of laughter, support, and unconditional love. She instilled in her children and grandchildren the values of hard work, perseverance, and the importance of family bonds.

Brenda's intelligence shone through in every aspect of her life, from her problem-solving skills to her creative endeavors. She was a woman who could weave a story, mend a broken toy, and offer sage advice all in the same breath. Her hands, always ready to help, were a symbol of her generous spirit and her commitment to those she loved.

As we bid farewell to Brenda Gail Eddleman, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and a legacy that will continue to inspire and guide us. Her memory will be cherished and kept alive in the stories we share, the lessons she taught us, and the love she gave so freely. Brenda's indomitable spirit and the memories she created will forever be etched in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
