Brenda Farr

Brenda Farr 1943-2018 Belmont – Brenda L. Braswell Farr, 74 passed away peacefully on April 1, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Gaston County on November 3, 1943 to the late Johnny and Lessie Waynes Braswell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Marvin, Gerald and Ray Braswell; sister, Noami Rogers She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be greatly missed! Brenda was a member of Sharon Freewill Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. Left to cherish her memories includes her husband Frank R. Farr; sons, Jody Farr and wife Kim of Gastonia; Shane Farr and wife Lisa of Belmont; daughters, Lisa Farr of Cramerton and Tiffany Farr Ledford and husband Josh of Gastonia; 7 grandchildren; Lindsey Farr, Justin Farr (fiancée Jordan), Chase Hudson, Bailey Cole Ledford, Piper Ledford, Taylor and Kinley Farr; brothers, Ted and Byron Braswell; sisters, Margaret Walker and Barbara Dean Raxter The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 4th at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home and the Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 5th in the Chapel of Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home with Reverend Odell Cook and Reverend Mike Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen "A Quiet Place" Belmont, NC with the releasing of the doves.
