Brenda Kay Fields

Brenda Kay Fields was born in Caraway, Arkansas, on August 2nd, 1950, and passed away peacefully at St. Joe Hospital in Joliet, Illinois, on December 4, 2025, at the age of 75. She leaves behind a legacy of love, devotion, and strength that will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, John and Lilly Hancock, and her cherished sisters, Linda and Karen.

Brenda was a devoted wife to Percy, her partner in life and in business. Together they shared not only a deep love but also the joy of building dreams side by side. She was a proud and loving mother to her daughters, Shannon (Donny), Brandy (Randy) Jondalyn, Rochelle, Tabitha and her son, PJ (Becky).

She also leaves behind a host of loving family members, dear friends, and neighbors—far too many to name individually, but each one equally cherished and important in her life and memory.

One of Brenda’s greatest joys was her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren—39 beautiful souls who knew her as “Grammie,” a title she wore with endless pride and unconditional love.

Brenda shared her home and heart with Pixie and Frankie, her two beloved puppies, who brought her constant comfort, laughter, and companionship.

She dedicated 20 years of her professional life to McDonald’s Corporation, where her strong work ethic and warm spirit touched many. Later, she followed her entrepreneurial heart, leaving corporate America to start a small bath and body business with her husband, Percy, called Treat Your Body—a true reflection of her nurturing soul and passion for caring for others.

Brenda had a true gift for creativity. Her favorite hobby—crafting, crafting, and more crafting—brought her endless joy and allowed her to create beautiful things for the people she loved. Her warmth was felt in every handmade gift and heartfelt project she shared.

Those closest to her will forever hear her sweet, familiar words: “Give me a hug and a kiss and a kiss and a hug.” A simple phrase that captured the way she lived—full of affection, love, and connection.

Brenda will be remembered for her kindness, her resilience, her infectious laugh, and the way she made everyone around her feel seen, loved, and welcomed. Her life was built on faith, family, and fierce love. Though her passing leaves an ache in every heart she touched, her spirit will continue to guide, comfort, and inspire all who were blessed to know her.

She was deeply loved, will be forever missed, and will always be remembered. As it was her request, cremation rites have been accorded and inurnment will take place at the memorial service, which will be held on March 20th, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W. Hoff Road, Elwood, IL 60421.

Following the memorial service, there will be a luncheon/celebration of life at Brenda and Percy’s neighborhood clubhouse in Dell Webb, at 1:30PM on March 20th, 2026. The Clubhouse address is 600 Dell Webb Blvd, Shorewood, IL 60404.
