Mrs. Brenda S. Hunter, 68, passed away at her residence in Lincolnton, Ga on Sunday, December 8, 2024. Mrs. Hunter was born to the late John Noah Haymans and Okie Sykes Haymans on September 6, 1956 in Sylvania, Ga. She was employed with OPI as a secretary and was also a loving, caring homemaker. Mrs. Hunter was a member of The Bridge Church and currently a member of First Assembly of God in Lincolnton, Ga. She enjoyed gardening, riding in the pontoon on Clark’s Hill Lake and going to Daytona Beach Shores. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Gary Haymans and two sisters, Judy Johnson and Wanda Yates.

Survivors include her loving husband of 47 years, William J. “Bill” Hunter, Jr. of Lincolnton; three children, Ashley Hunter of Nevils, Billy Hunter of Fleming and Chanson Hunter and his wife Sheila of Savannah; brother-in-law, Garry Johnson, Misty Johnson and Gary W. Johnson of Sweetwater, Tn; six grandchildren, Dylan, Nicolas, Hunter, Issabella, William and Stella; three greatgrandchildren, Nylah, Noah and Evanni and many more nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 16, 2024 from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. at Flanders Powell Funeral Home. 

Funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the Flanders Powell Funeral Home Chapel with Doctor Lawrence Butler officiating.

Burial will be held on Monday, December 16, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Glennville.
