Obituary
Brenda Alexander Johnson was born March 25, 1953, in Indianapolis Indiana. Brenda was the baby of the eleven in the Alexander family. She was the last one living.
Brenda accepted Christ at an early age. Brenda attended Crispus Attucks High School, where she received her high school diploma in 1972.
Brenda was employed by the Courtyard by Marriott for twenty-one years. Brenda was a loving person. One thing Brenda was known for was to have open arms for anyone who came onto her life.
Brenda was a loving wife to Cornelius "Butch" Johnson. Their marriage spanned over 46 ½ years.
Brenda loved to gamble, take her grandchildren on trips, and most of all, Brenda loved her food. When Brenda's eldest granddaughter graduated college in 2022. Brenda did not let anything get in her way. She wasn't going to miss it for anything! Brenda had a host of three generations of nieces and nephews that she loved so very much.
Brenda departed her earthly life on June 16, 2023 at 6:29 p.m. at the age of 70 years, 4months and 14 days. She was at her home like she wanted to be. Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Roberta and Blake Alexander, Sr.; all of her siblings; her son, Kevin Alexander, her grandson, Dayeon Johnson, and mother-in-law, Carrie Bellamy.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory her loving husband, Cornelius "Butch" Johnson; daughters, Lakia Johnson and Wendy Johnson; one son, Kobie Cole; stepdaughters, Monique, Monica, and Ganona; twenty-three grandchildren; one great-grandson, Dayeon Johnson, Jr.; one aunt, Amanda Louise Fryer; one sister-in-law, Evonne Johnson; one brother-in-law, Anthony "Mercedes" Johnson; and a host of three generations of nieces and nephews, and other and family and friends that she loved.
