Brenda Romaine Johnson was the daughter of Henry Johnson Jr. and Mary Ella Putney. Brenda answered the Master's call to eternal rest on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at Gilcrest Hospice in Towson, MD after a lengthy illness
Raised and educated in Harford County, MD. Brenda attended New Destiny Evangelistic Church under the leadership of bishop Allen M. Bryant and Bishop Sylvia Bryant. Brenda worked at Upper Chesapeake Hospital, the Hilton Hotel, and the Ripkin Stadium until her illness. With her caring heart, there was nothing Brenda would not do for her family and friends, or even for strangers Always there with a helping hand for everyone that needed help.
Brenda enjoyed family cookouts, gatherings, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grand kids. Just enjoying life to the fullest.
Brenda loved listening to gospel music and doing her crossword puzzles. She enjoyed her quiet time every morning. Although she is no longer a fan of going to the casino, she enjoyed one last trip when her grandson urged her to go for her last birthday.
Brend is preceded in death by her brother Lloyd Putney: her sister Patricia Ann Preston: her father-in-law Arthur Huff; her grandsons Christopher Marquell Smith Sr. and Khalil LePhonzo Johnson, and her best friend Mildred Sammy.
Brenda leaves to mourn: her daughter Kelisha Johnson: her son Shawn Turner; her brothers Kevin Brown of Edgewood and Douglas Brown (Nikki) of Edgewood; her sisters Shirley Johnson of Edgewood, Carrie Huff of Aberdeen, and Lynn Johnson of Baltimore; her two grandsons Daviyon Johnson and Ymani Johnson; Great grandchildren Christopher Smith Jr., Nia Johnson. and Marcellus Johnson; Special friends: Clovitis Skinner, Martha Lewis, Sheri Patton, and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
