Brenda "Kay" Middleton Brumbley, of Albany, GA passed away on Monday, September 15, 2025 at her residence at the age of 71. Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, September 19. 2025 at Mathews Funeral Home at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow to Pelham City Cemetery. Mr. Ross Powell officiate.
Born on December 19, 1953 in Albany, Georgia, to the late Roy and Lousie Sheppard Middleton. She retired from Lab Corp in 2019, as a phlebotomist. Outside of her career, Kay was known for her vibrant spirit and unwavering positivity. She loved spending time with her family and friends, never meeting a stranger and always ready to share a smile or a laugh. Her joyful nature extended to her passions, which included dance and karaoke; many will recall her vibrant performances that could light up any venue. Kay took great joy in making others smile, a gift she shared generously throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Troy “Don” Brumbley.
She is survived by her children, Crystal Davis (Quinn Hancock), Jason Woodward (Amber), Kelly Corley (Steve), and Stacy Simmons (Adam). Grandchildren, Olivia Cook, Kendall Montgerard (Landon), Hadley Davis, Brody Davis, Maggie Hancock, Braelin Woodward, Brooklyn Rouse (Austin), Branson Goff (Tyler), Davis Corley (Madison), Breanna Simmons, Everly Simmons, and Dorothy Taylor (Dakota), and twelve great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Friday at Mathews Funeral Home from 10:00 Am until 11:00 Am, and also the family will be receiving family and friends at Kelly and Steve's residence on Wednesday and Thursday from 5:00pm – 8:00pm, at 115 Hickory Ridge Court, Leesburg GA, 31763.
