Rosie Lenora "Sissy" Brumbley, a beacon of love and creativity, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2024, in Ruston, LA. Born on July 12, 1972, in Monroe, LA, she was a cherished daughter, beloved wife, devoted mother, and adored sister, whose vibrant spirit and passionate nature left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her.
Sissy also known as; Termite, Momma, or Nana" was a woman of many virtues, whose presence was a source of joy and comfort to her family and friends. She was very loving, caring, and adventurous; nobody could ever amount to the woman that she was. She loved doing for her family and spending time with them. She was a very crafty woman and if you ever walked in her house, she was either cooking or in her craft room. She was the caretaker of everyone. Everybody always went to her for advice; they may not always like it, but they went to her anyway.
She was preceded in death by her loving mother, Myrdith Miller; her cherished granddaughter, Bre'Anna Miller; her sweet grandson, Sebastian Martinez; her nurturing grandmother, Mary Holley; her kind-hearted grandfather, Maurice Holley; her dear aunt, Rita Marshall; her gentle grandmother, Mildred Miller; her caring grandfather, Felton Miller; and her respected mother-in-law, Elizabeth Brumbley; as well as her sister-in-law, Serenna Scott. Their memories were held close to Sissy's heart throughout her life.
Left to honor and remember Sissy's extraordinary life is her devoted husband, Bryan Keith Brumbley, who stood by her side in love and partnership for over 35 years. Her legacy continues through her children, Tabatha Maurice Miller and her husband Ernesto Martinez, Logan Victoria Brumbley, and her one and only son, Hunter Bryant Brumbley. Her siblings, Mary Ann Miller and her husband Magin Ramirez, and John Mikey Miller and his wife Chastity Miller, will forever cherish the memories they shared. Sissy's father, Billy Wayne, and stepmother, Patricia Miller, will miss her deeply.
Sissy's love extended to her seven grandchildren, Jasmine Miller and Blade Langley, Alexis Gabriela Rios and Robert Andrews Jr., Christopher Perez, Ruby Martinez, Savannah Martinez, Ernesto Martinez, and Brayden Martinez; as well as her three great-grandchildren, Omaria Rios, Joel Rios, Oaklynn Langley; and the joyous anticipation of a baby great-grandson on the way. Each of them were the apples of her eye, and she took immense pride in their every achievement and milestone.
Although Sissy's formal education concluded with some college, she was a lifelong learner whose wisdom and insight were evident to all who engaged with her. As a homemaker, she created a warm and welcoming space where love and laughter were always in abundance. Sissy's home was not just a dwelling, but a sanctuary for her family, filled with the aroma of her delicious cooking and the beauty of her baking creations.
An ardent lover of nature, Sissy found solace and inspiration in the simple pleasures of life, such as the delicate dance of butterflies, the playful antics of squirrels, and the serene beauty of flowers. Her interests were a reflection of her loving and passionate soul, and her creativity was expressed in every meal prepared and every dessert baked with love.
Those who knew Sissy would describe her as a loving matriarch, a passionate spirit, and a creative force. Her unwavering love for her family, her boundless passion for life, and her innate creativity were the hallmarks of her existence. She approached every day with a heart full of love and hands eager to create beauty and joy.
Rosie Lenora "Sissy" Brumbley's life was a tapestry of love, compassion, and creativity. Her memory will be cherished, her absence deeply felt, and her spirit forever woven into the fabric of her family's lives. As we say goodbye, we are comforted by the countless memories and the love she so freely gave. Sissy's legacy will live on in the hearts of those she touched, for she taught us the true meaning of love and the joy of living a life filled with passion
