Brenda Lenore KEAR, nee Gill, 77, of Wellsville, NY, formerly of Bunker Hill, WV and Andover, NY, died Tuesday, November 18, 2025 in Wellsville Manor Care Center.
Born March 16, 1948, in Wellsville, she was the daughter of Edward Francis and Leola Louise Grover Gill, Jr. She was married to Kenneth E. Kear, who predeceased her on December 13, 2015. Brenda was employed by Alfred State College at ACES Catering/Food Service for 22 years, retiring in 1998. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, making crafts, decorating for the holidays, traveling, and going to antique cars shows with Kenny, riding in their 1929 Ford Model A. Brenda also loved dogs.
Surviving are: two daughters, Kelinda (Kevin) Schuster of Chincoteague, VA and Karmon Kear of Blackshear, GA; two grandchildren, Kyla and Tristen; six great-granddaughters, Taylor, Nora, Violet, Jemma, Rose, and Lily; two great-grandsons, Timothy and Jensen; a sister, Cheryl Nan (Russell) Barker of Canon City, CO; nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Gary Marshall Gill.
A Memorial Service will be held on a later date. Burial will be in Genesee Cemetery, Genesee, PA. Arrangements will be announced by Olney-Foust & Embser Funeral Homes & Cremation, 34 West State Street, Wellsville, NY 14895.
