Brenda Turner King WEST COLUMBIA, SC - Brenda Turner King, 81, of West Columbia, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Monday, March 20, 2023. Her Funeral Service will be held Friday, March 24, 2023, in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road, at 1:00 pm. The family will receive friends an hour before service. Entombment will follow the service at Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens, 1308 Mathis Ferry Rd. Brenda was born February 8, 1942, in Newberry, South Carolina, daughter of the late David Hoyt Turner and the late Mary Davis Turner. Brenda was passionate regarding her family. She was an avid cookbook collector and great cook, a master at hospitality, a Civil War buff, a wonderful interior decorator and a retired ER and ICU Nurse. She will be remembered for the life she created with her family and friends and how much she loved them. She is survived by her two daughters, Angie G. Taylor (Tim) of Ridgeway, SC, Rosemary Arthur (Cliff) of Waxhaw, NC; four grandchildren, Will Taylor (Karleigh), Walker Taylor, Mary Ashley Arthur, Megan Arthur; three great-grandchildren, Luke Taylor-Diaz, Sarah Kate Taylor, Adam Taylor; and additional family, Bill King (Laurie), and Wyman King (Olivia). She was preceded in death by her parents and beloved husband, Dr. William Wyman King, Jr. Memorials may be made to Hollings Cancer Center Office of Development, 86 Jonathan Lucas Street, Charleston, SC 29425.
