Burial will be in the St. Elizabeth's Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. Brenda passed away, Monday, September 2, 2025, at the Avantara Nursing Home in Pierre.

Brenda Doreen LeBeau, of Wakpala, SD passed away on September 01, 2025, at the age of 62. She was born on August 19, 1963, to Alice LeBeau, and was lovingly raised by Alvin and Harriet Thompson.

Doreen completed her schooling through eighth grade at Wakpala School and later dedicated her life to her family as a homemaker. She married Isadore Ducheneaux, Jr., and together they raised four children. Being a mother was her greatest joy, and she cared deeply and fiercely for her children. Her love extended beyond them, embracing her family in countless ways. She also had a special place in her heart for animals, raising dogs and a rabbit.

She was well known for her sense of humor, her big heart, and her creativity. She loved coloring and making small crafts. Doreen had a talent for quilting, knitting, and crocheting, often gifting family members with baby blankets and other handmade items crafted with love. She never hesitated to put her skills to use whenever someone in the family needed something, and her handiwork will remain a treasured reminder of her giving spirit. She also enjoyed watching cartoons, finding joy and comfort in the simple things.

Doreen is survived by her children, Isadore Ducheaux III and KC Ducheneaux, 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, her siblings; Dierdre Eagle, James LeBeau, Chip Thompson, Brian Thompson, Connie Richards, Holly Thompson, and Galen Thompson, as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family who will hold her memory close.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Alice Lebeau; her parents, Alvin and Harriet Thompson; her daughters, Kayleen Ducheneaux and Alice Ducheneaux; her brothers, Bruce Thompson and Fuzzy Thompson; her sisters, Debbie LeBeau and Kelly Stringer; and her maternal and paternal grandparents.

Those who knew Doreen will remember her laughter, her generosity, and the love she poured into her family. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of her children, her siblings, and all who were blessed to know her.
