Brenda Sue Lewis, age 69, of Prestonsburg, KY, wife of Elder Clyde P. Lewis, passed away Saturday, October 29, 2022 at her residence. She was born March 1, 1953 in Martin, KY a daughter of Richard Ousley, Blue River, KY and the late Eliza Johnson Ousley. She was a member of the Spurlock Old Regular Baptist Church and a homemaker.
In addition to her husband and father she is survived by two sons; C. Preston (Crista) Lewis, Winchester, KY and John Kelvin (Lucreasie) Lewis, Prestonsburg, KY, one daughter; Elizabeth Mae Smith, Winchester, KY, four brothers; James Ousely and Tracy Ousley, both of Blue River, KY, Charlie Ousley, Prestonsburg, KY and Donald Ousley of California, six sisters; Christine Ousley, Wanda Ousley and Melinda Auxier all of Prestonsbrug, KY, Norma Connors, Auxier, KY, Tina Ousley, Blue River, KY and Melissa Ousley of Indiana, five grandchildren; John Kaden Lewis, Madelein Lewis, Cameron Smith, Regi Reed and Alex Reed, two great grandchildren; Noah and Evan Reed.
She was preceded in death by her mother and three brothers; Columbus, Roy and Ray Ousley.
Funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Spurlock Old Regular Baptist Church, Prestonsburg, KY, with the Old Regular Baptist Ministers officiating. Burial will follow in the Davidson Memorial Gardens, Ivel, KY, visitation is after 5 p.m. Sunday and after 10 a.m. Monday at the church, with service each evening at 6:30 p.m., under direction of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky.
