Brenda J. (Quackenbush) Litano, 63, of Argyle, NY, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, June 4, 2023 surrounded by her four loving children and her loving husband. Born in Bennington, VT on Nov. 7, 1959, she was the daughter of David and Lenora (Bacon) Quackenbush.
Brenda graduated from Mount Anthony High School and later furthered her education by getting her CNA to become a nurse at Mary McClellan Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility, where she would help many, many residents. She also helped many patients while with Greater Adirondack HHA.
Brenda had many hobbies that included reading, cooking and talking walks but most of all was her love of listening to her favorite music by Bon Jovi. Her day wouldn't be complete without at least one song. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and also her beloved dog, Scooby Doo.
Survivors include her husband, David Litano, of Argyle, NY, her four children; sons John R. Hitchcock and his wife Lynn of Gansevoort, NY, David C. Hitchcock of Mechanicville, NY, Jason L. Hitchcock and his wife Keri of West Union, OH, and daughter, Amy L. Stewart and her husband Randy of South Glens Falls, NY. Her children were the absolute loves of her life. She is also survived by 14 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren, brothers; David Quackenbush and his wife Debbie of Floyd, VA and Jack Quackenbush and his wife Janet also of Floyd, VA. She was predeceased by her parents, David and Lenora Quackenbush and her grandparents, Irene, and Charles Quackenbush. She is loved and will be missed dearly by all.
Funeral services will be held at the Mahar Funeral Home in Bennington, VT on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at 1:00 PM. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at 1:00 PM.
The family would like to thank all of the staff at the Washington Center in Argyle, NY for all the non-stop care they gave Brenda.
