Graveside service for Mrs. Brenda Clark Ingram McDaniel, 82, of Monroe will be held at 2:00PM Sunday, September 10, 2023, at the Ingram Family Cemetery in Mer Rouge, LA, with Mr. David Burkett officiating under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd. Monroe. Visitation will be from 5:00PM until 6:30PM Saturday, September 9, 2023, at Mulhearn Funeral Home Monroe.
Brenda was an artist, writer, mother, wife, and lover of animals and nature. She was born on October 1, 1940, in Bastrop, LA, and passed from this world on September 5, 2023, in Monroe. Brenda was a founder of the Ouachita River Art Guild and worked for 27 years for their gallery on Antique Alley in West Monroe. She also worked as advertising manager at Montgomery Ward, and store manager of American Handicrafts and Jeans in the Twin City Mall, in Monroe. Brenda also worked in the Art Department at The News Star for many years before retiring.
Brenda was preceded in death by her father, Leslie H. Clark; mother, Beth H. Clark; brothers, Leslie Carroll Clark and Hugh H. Clark; son, Samuel Clark Ingram; husband, Harry (Jim) McDaniel; and her first husband, Samuel Thomas Ingram, the father of her children.
Survivors include her daughter, Donna Howie and husband Steve of Lexington, SC; son, Leslie Ingram and wife Sarah; grandchildren, James, Thomas, and Katherine of Methwald Norfolk, UK; nephew, David Burkett and wife Sharon of Monroe, LA; niece, Colleen Brezden and husband Mike of Fredericksburg, TX; sister-in-law, DuVette McDaniel Cox; and other nieces, nephews and members of the McDaniel family; as well as special friends, William and Bobbie Weeks of Monroe, LA.
Memorials may be made to The River Cities Humane Society for Cats, the Salvation Army, the Food Bank, or to a charity of your choice.
