Brenda Lou Moad, 77, of Harrisburg, IL passed away at 1:16 am on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at Harrisburg Medical Center. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at 12 Noon at Reids Chapel Cemetery near Stonefort, IL. Visitation will be held from 10 am until 11:45 am at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Reverend Steve Shea will be officiating.
Brenda was born on April 14, 1948 in Hicks Town, Hardin County, ILto the late William Ray Hutchison and Oma Blanche (Dunn) Hutchison.
She married Larry Dean Moad on August 21, 1994 and he preceded in death December 23, 2023.
After high school Brenda found a passion for nursing and worked as a nurses aid for many years. She enjoyed fishing and camping, and loved to read her bible in her free time. She was a member of the Church of God.
Brenda is survived by her 2 daughters: Tina (Mark) Dunn of Harrisburg, IL and Sherry Storry Taylor of Eldorado, IL; 2 brothers: Ronald Hutchison Sr. and Gary Hutchison both of Harrisburg, IL, along with 7 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents: William and Oma Hutchison; husband: Larry Moad; 2 sisters: Vivian Hubbard and Dorothy Loy; 5 brothers: William Hutchison, Leonard Hutchison, Elroy Hutchison, Bill Hutchison and Donald Ray Hutchison; and granddaughter: Heather Mitchell.
