Brenda Polfus-Greenwood Obituary

Published by Legacy on Nov. 25, 2025.
Brenda Kay Polfus- Greenwood, 57, of Midvale, Ohio, passed away on November 22, 2025, after a courageous and hard-fought battle with cancer. Brenda was born on August 3, 1968, in Los Angeles, California.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Larry and Margie Greenwood; her sister, Penny Greenwood; her brother, John Greenwood; her brother-in-law, Steve Willkett; and her beloved dog, Cujo, whom she cherished dearly.
Brenda is survived by her daughters whom she loved so very much: Amanda Greenwood, Alicia Pongrat (Jack Rine), Amber Hankins, and Brenda Hankins. She is also survived by her brothers, Mike Greenwood and Robert "Bob" Greenwood; her sisters, Laurie Greenwood-Catchings and Carla Greenwood-Willkett; and her loving companion, Henry Roup, of the home, who so loving and selflessly cared for her through her battle with cancer.
Brenda was a proud grandmother to Jamie, Ian, Carrie, Haydn, Cali, Natalie, Junior, Brantley, Aubree, Kennedy, Berklee, and Karsin, and a proud great-grandmother to Zaphorah.
Brenda found joy in the simple moments-hosting poker nights at the home she shared with Henry, spending time with friends, and playing bingo. Above all, she loved being a grandmother, even to the many children she took pride in caring for throughout the years before her cancer. Her warmth, humor, and generous spirit touched everyone who knew and loved her, and she will be deeply missed and always remembered for her kind heart.
Per her wishes, there will be no services.
