Brenda Lin Prentice (Call), born December 30th, 1958, passed away peacefully on March 9th 2026, surrounded by the love of her family, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the beloved daughter of the late George Call and Thelma Bixler Chapman (formerly Call).
Brenda is survived by her children, Jessica Felice (James) and Josh Prentice (Kelly) and her grandchildren Elizabeth Crossett (William), Tyler Crossett (Courtney), Cameron Pritt (Hailee), Jordin Prentice (Lucien), Brenden Prentice, and Lilliana Banks. She was also blessed to be a great-grandmother to Emersyn, Archie, Kamden, Hailey, Scarlett, Carter, and Westen.
She is also survived by her loving siblings, Steve Call (Linda), Monica Cuthbert (William), Kevin Call (Evamarie), and Renae Lee and by her longtime companion, Mike Dimmett. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Allen Call (Donna) and Leonard Call. She also leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Brenda will be remembered for her love of family, her strength, and the lasting impact she had on the lives of those who knew and loved her. Her presence will be deeply missed, but the memories she created with her family will live on for generations.
Like the sunflowers she loved, Brenda faced life the way sunflowers face the sun — with quiet strength, stubborn determination, and an unwavering will to keep going. May the fields of heaven be filled with sunflowers
Services will be held on Tuesday, March 17, at 11:00 a.m. at McLean Church and cemetery. All are welcome to join the family afterward for a meal and time together at the McLean Fire Station.
