Mother Brenda Shepherd was born August 20, 1945, in Logan, West Virginia, to the union of Sodick and Linnie (Jones) Stoumile. She gained her heavenly wings on Monday, June 17, 2024.
She married Charles Shepherd on March 4, 1963 and with that union was born nine children.
She accepted Christ at the age of 15, and she attended Cornerstone Pentecostal, under the leadership of Bishop W.L. Butler Sr., where she raised her family. She also attended StrongTower Church, under the leadership, of Bishop Clarence Caldwell Sr. and Assembly Faith Church under the leadership of Bishop Marvin Bozeman.
Mother Shepherd was always very protective, ferocious and nurturing. She truly enjoyed her grandkids, traveling, dancing, music and talking on the phone, while enjoying an icecold Pepsi Cola. She also enjoyed helping others by buying food, cleaning, and making sure everybody felt her love.
Mother Shepherd loved spiders and butterflies, lions and elephants, she was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, as well as a huge Bid Whist player. Most important to her was her family, she gave them all their own personal nicknames, and if she couldn’t remember your name, you became her “little love bug”.
