Brenda Meredith Stoneman

Brenda Meredith Stoneman, 75, of Archdale, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Randolph Memorial Hospital.

Brenda was born on August 19, 1950, to the late Fred English Meredith Sr. and the late Cora Mae Lamb. She will be forever remembered for her deep and unwavering faith in her Lord Jesus Christ. Her relationship with God was the foundation of her life-she was devoted to reading her Bible and learning all she could from God's Word. Leading others to Christ was her greatest calling and joy.

Brenda was a faithful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She had a heart full of compassion, a wonderful sense of humor, and a special love for animals. Her presence brought comfort, strength, and light to those around her.

In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her sister, Louise Driver, and her brother, Dwight Meredith.

Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband of 53 years, Clarence Stoneman; her daughter, Monica Southern and husband James; grandchildren, James Travis "JT" Southern and wife Noell, and Brett Austin Southern. She is also survived by her brother, Fred Meredith Jr. and wife Diane; nephews, Timothy W. Meredith and wife Lynn, and Chad E. Meredith, David Driver III and wife Karen, Michael Driver and wife Christi; nieces, Ashley and Hilary Meredith; brother-in-law, Clayton Stoneman and wife Barbara; sister-in-law, Nancy Meredith; and Lavinia Wagner.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 12, 2025, at the Archdale Chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service, with Pastor Mark Mosley and Pastor Clayton Stoneman officiating. Interment will follow at Floral Garden Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
