David G. Stoneman, 75, of Manchester passed away peacefully at his home after a courageous battle with cancer on August 14, 2025. Dave was born in Manchester on September 7, 1949, to George and Gertrude (Kluck) Stoneman. He was a senior analyst at Hartford Steam Boiler until his retirement in 2018. He was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Manchester. Dave enjoyed traveling with his family on vacations to Hawaii, Alaska, Germany, Florida, and North Carolina. Family gatherings were high on Dave's list of favorite things. In his retirement, he enjoyed hiking and playing tennis at the East Hartford Tennis Club. He was an avid reader especially of science fiction and technology. He enjoyed being "Uncle Dave" to all his nieces and nephews, attending their sporting events, musical concerts, and anything they were involved in. EDWARD J MANNING

Dave was a wonderful person.
We grew up together in the "Bretton Road" neighborhood. A wonderful place filled with kids, good kids, smart kids, athletic kids.
Dave was all of that and more.
I knew Dave for almost 70 years and he was truly the nicest and most interesting person I ever knew.
Over the years ; Dave would visit me in California, and me him in Connecticut.
Dave: you will always be in my mind, my heart, and my soul.
I was blessed to have you as a friend.
