Brenda Kay "Katie" O'Quinn Stricklin, age 77, of Paintsville, KY, passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2025, at Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, KY.

She was born on October 9, 1948, in Floyd County, KY, to the late Lacey and Margaret Lafferty O'Quinn. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Ralph (Caralita) O'Quinn.

On June 10, 1972, she married William "Bill" Stricklin, who survives. Katie valued the education of every student she came into contact with, and she cared for the well-being of everyone in her community. She had a true servant's heart.

In the coming weeks, the family will be announcing the opening of the Katie Stricklin Scholarship Trust to further the education of our communities youth.
