Brenda Whitehead Tran, 64, of Bedford died Friday, September 20, 2024. She was born on January 14, 1960, in Lynchburg, Va. A daughter of the late Cubus L. Whitehead and Sally Ann Kidd English.
Brenda was always supportive, patient and kind, and brought joy to many people in her life.
She loved celebrating holidays and events with her family, outings, church functions, shopping, and loved finding special gifts especially for her grandchildren.
She had many talents such as cooking, hapkido, achieving her black belt in karate, drawing, and crafts. She worked hard in each job she had whether it was retail, caregiving, or cleaning. Brenda will be missed deeply while she enters her home in heaven.
She is survived by daughters, Crystal Preston (Mark), Kimkhue Smith (Zachary); grandchildren, Jacob Lowe, Will Preston, Tyler Preston (Valerie), Coby Dooley; sisters, Rhonda Coe (Dean), Rebecca Henson (William); brother, George Whitehead (Janet); Numerous other family and friends.
A Funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm Friday, October 4, 2024 at The Church of God, 1212 East Main Street, Bedford, VA 24523 with Pastor Dave Metz Officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service starting at 11.00 am at the church. Burial will follow at Lebanon Methodist Church Cemetery 4565 New London RD, Forest, VA 24551.
