Brenda Sue Creech Wall, 79, of Fayetteville, went to be with her husband on Friday, July 25, 2025.
Brenda (Susie) was born on December 17, 1945 to the loving parents of Clifton and Ruth Creech. She grew up in Clayton, North Carolina. While working at her Daddy’s jewelry store a sharp dressed man entered to purchase a watch. It was then that Yates and Susie fell head over heels. After courtship, engagement, and marriage they began their lives together traveling to all of Yates’ duty stations. They settled down on Fort Bragg in 1975 and relocated to Fayettevile in 1977. Susie was a loving and devoted wife, Momma/Mama, and Nana to her husband, girls, and grandchildren. Susie was also a Mom and Nana to so many others. Her door was always open and there was always a seat at the kitchen table for anyone who needed a listening ear, a strong talking to or a bite to eat. You would often find her outside waving to all the neighbors, picking up pinecones and sticks, completing jigsaw puzzles and enjoying her grandchildren’s visits. Momma/Mama was spunky, and would tell anyone that would listen how hard headed and stubborn she was. In the end she trusted her girls to take care of her and do right by her until her party was over.
A memorial service to celebrate Brenda’s life will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2025 at 3:30 pm at Sullivan’s Highland Chapel. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, July 30, from 5 to 7 pm at the funeral home.
Brenda is survived by three daughters, Stephanie Powell and Curt, Pamela Ruiz and Larry, and Amy Stroman and Cedric; five grandchildren, Caroline and Alana, Sophia and Javier, and Tiana; brother, Glenn Creech; sister, Kathy Ellen; sister-in-law, Patsy Knott; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Yates Wall.
