Funeral services for Brenda Lynn Williams, 71, of Aiken, SC will be held at one o’clock p.m., Friday, November 29, 2024 at the Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home Chapel, Aiken, SC with Dr. Thomas Terry and Reverend Dexter Lambert officiating; burial will follow in the Sizemore Family Cemetery, Aiken, SC. The family will receive friends from eleven-thirty a.m. until the time of the service on Friday at Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be given to the Habitat for Humanity, 1026 Park Ave., SE, Aiken, SC 29801. Brenda passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, November 26, 2024.
Born in Augusta, GA, she was the daughter of W.B. “Bill” Lynn, Jr. and the late Ella Mae Anderson Lynn. She was a member of South Aiken Baptist Church. In 2021, she retired from the Trenton Correctional Facility after working as an Admin-Assistant at the SCDC for 40 years; through the years she earned a number of Secretarial Certificates. She loved to tend to her flower garden and also enjoyed thrifting at Yard Sales and the Habitat for Humanity. Her favorite place to visit was Edisto Beach, SC. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed every minute that she got to spend with her husband, her daughter, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her father, Bill Lynn, Jr.; survivors include her loving husband, Herbert Arthur “Chip” Williams, Jr. of the home; her daughter, Jennifer W. Charnock (Bryan Johnson) of Warrenville, SC; grandchildren, Rylee Charnock (Trevor Usry), Dalton (Samantha) Charnock, and Brittany Hancock; four great grandchildren, Laylynn, Fisher, C.J., and Elayna; a sister-in-law, Mary Ellen Williams and a niece and nephews.
