Orrie Steven Lupton, 71, passed away peacefully at home on November 29, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
A native of New Bern, North Carolina, Steven was born to the late Woodrow Muriel and Ethel Lee Edwards Lupton. He was raised with a strong work ethic instilled in him by his grandmother, working alongside his siblings on tobacco farms during his childhood. After completing high school, Steven proudly served a short term in the United States Air Force. Upon his return from service, he met the love of his life, Elisa Alexander. They shared many wonderful years together before her passing in 2022.
Steven dedicated much of his life to being a union electrician, a trade he shared with his father, grandfather, uncle and brother. Together, they traveled across the United States, working in various locations including Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Iowa, and Texas.
In 1985, Steven and Elisa settled in Aiken County, where he took a position at the Savannah River Site.
He is survived by his two daughters, Jacinda James (Brandon) of Aiken and Amanda Conard (Jason) of Beech Island, as well as four grandchildren: Jakob Huffman, Austin Huffman, Ryan Walden, and Mason James, along with a great-granddaughter, Ava Huffman. In addition to his beloved wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Woodrow Lupton, Jr., and his sister, Cathy Weber.
A Celebration of Steven's Life will be held on Saturday afternoon, December 13th, from noon until 3 o'clock at the home of Jacinda and Brandon in Aiken.
