Word has been received of the death of Brenden Don Wetmore, 33, of
Lawton, OK.
Brenden passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2025 at his home.
Arrangements are under the direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.
No services are planned at this time.
Brenden born on August 30, 1991, in Oklahoma City, OK to Donnie and Judi (Penisten) Wetmore. He spent his life in Lawton, where he attended Douglas and Woodland Hills Elementary Schools. He continued his education at both MacArthur and Eisenhower Junior High Schools and later graduated from Eisenhower Senior High Schools. Throughout his school years, Brenden built lasting friendships and memories that remained with him throughout his life.
He pursued a career in the restaurant industry, working at Kobe's restaurant in both
Lawton, Oklahoma, and Dallas, Texas. His time there reflected his dedication to hard work and his ability to connect with people from all walks of life.
Brenden had a passion for mobile gaming and could often be found immersed in Pokémon Go or Battle Royale games on his phone. These hobbies brought him joy and a sense of community with fellow players.
Brenden will be deeply missed and remembered fondly by all those that knew him.
He is deeply missed by his loving parents, Donnie and Judi Wetmore of
Lawton, Oklahoma; his grandmother, Pat Wetmore; his twin brother, Tanner and wife Kathryn of Oklahoma City; his brother Ethan and partner Shweta of Orlando, Florida; sister Brittany, of Cache, Oklahoma; as well as his cherished cousins Ian-his favorite person-Ian's girlfriend Sarah of Lawton okla, Megan of Lawton oklahoma; Carly and Jim of Naples, Florida; special family friend, Mama Edda Hefner and family; Brenden also leaves behind his aunt and uncles, Cheryl and husband Trey of Bixby, OK, Greg, of Lawton, Tony and Cynthia of Ardmore, OK, Gabe and Jennifer, of Oklahoma City, OK; his nephew, Gavin of Virginia; and his nieces, Kaylee and Morgan, of Bixby, OK. Brenden is also survived by numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins-and his beloved puppy dog girl, Delilah.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Pat (Gma) Penisten, grandfather John (Papa) Penisten, Aunt Randi, big sister Jamie Wetmore, Aunt Debbie, and Grandpa Frank Wetmore.
Brenden's presence brought light to those around him. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
