Funeral service for CSM (ret) James T. Pollard, 86, of Lawton will be held at 12:30 on Thursday, October 2, 2025 at Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.

Burial with full military honors will follow at Fort Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, OK.

Mr. Pollard passed away on Friday, September 26, 2025 at his home.

James was born on September 23, 1939 in Poseyville, Indiana to Robert H. and Flora Agnes (Hale) Pollard. He grew up in Indiana where he attended school. After high school, James joined the United States Army and served his country for 23 years, receiving many awards and medals and was stationed in many locations including Korea, Germany, Vietnam, Alabama, Virginia, New Jersey, Fort Hood, and Fort Sill, Oklahoma. He married Viviane Correa on October 29, 1982 and they made Lawton their home. After his retirement from the Army, James owned and operated Sergeant Security for over 15 years.

He is survived by his wife, Viviane Pollard, of the home; his son and daughter in law, Jeff and Dana Pollard, of Lawton, OK; his daughter and son in law, Michelle and Tony Cruz, of Aubrey, TX; his grandchildren and spouses, Ashley, Brooke and Conner, Krysten and Dylan, Manuel, and Solomon; his great grandchildren, Millie, Waylon, and Amelia; his nephews, Danny, Billy, Bob, and Eddie; and his furbaby, Mason.

James was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Michael Pollard; and his siblings, Lela, Bill, Gerald, John, Paul, and Margie.
