With heavy hearts and profound sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved son and brother, Brent Everett Brown, 28, of Houston, Texas. Brent departed this world on June 2, 2025, in Channelview, Texas, leaving behind a legacy of quiet strength, deep love, and unforgettable warmth.
Born on December 14, 1996, to Ulric and Nella Brown, Brent was a Houston native through and through. He grew into a remarkable young man-gentle, thoughtful, and deeply devoted to his family. For the past two years, Brent worked as a welder at IKG, where he brought precision and pride to his craft. But his true artistry lived in the music he composed, the melodies he created, and the joy he found in every note.
Brent was a man of few words, but his presence spoke volumes. He had a gift for making people feel seen and loved-always greeting others with a warm hug and a smile that could light up a room. He found joy in the simple things: playing video games with his brother Emmet, sharing laughs with his close-knit circle of friends, and spending cherished time with his family over movies and card games.
Though his circle was small, his impact was immense. Brent's kindness, loyalty, and quiet humor left an indelible mark on everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his loving brother, Emmet Brown of Houston, and his devoted parents, Ulric and Nella Brown, also of Houston but originally from Trinidad and Tobago, and his many cousins.
Brent was preceded in death by his cherished grandparents: Melvina Poonwasie, Irene Gomez-Brown, and Fitz-Clarence Brown, all of Trinidad and Tobago.
Our hearts are shattered by Brent's passing. He brought joy and laughter into our lives, even in his silence. His absence leaves a space that can never be filled, but his memory will forever echo in our hearts.
Rest in Peace, Brent. Your music plays on in all of us.
