Brent Jerome Brya, a treasured husband, father, and grandfather, born on October 11, 1966, in Carson City, Michigan, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2024, in Elsie, Michigan, surrounded by his loved ones. He was the beloved husband of Deborah Brya, and loving father of Alexander (Heather) Brya and Lukas Brya. His giving spirit lives on through his cherished grandchildren, Conner, Olivia, and Weston Brya.
Brent completed his early education at St. Johns High School in 1985 and furthered his learning by earning an associate's degree in business and also an associate's degree in applied science. He married the love of his life, Deborah Sue Taylor, at the Duplain Church of Christ in St. Johns, MI on October 17, 1987. Brent's entrepreneurial spirit led him to own and successfully operate Williams Heating and Cooling in Elsie since 2006, where his professional and personal contributions were deeply valued.
Those close to Brent will fondly recall his handy and generous nature which was as expansive as his love for life. He was happiest vacationing in the tropics with Deborah. Brent also loved camping with family. Especially backyard camping with his grandchildren.
Brent also leaves behind his brother, Jason (Mindi) Brya; his father, Kenneth (Sally) Brya; and his mother, Cathy Brya-Rotta.
A celebration of Brent's life, which was filled with love and generosity, will be held at a later date, offering family and friends the opportunity to come together in remembrance of a life well lived.
Contributions in Brent's name can be directed to Hospice of Lansing.
Brent's family is being served by Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, Owosso Chapel.
