Brent Roland Obituary

BRENT MATTHEW ROLAND

February 29, 1988 – September 18, 2024

Bakersfield – It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Brent Roland, a beloved father, husband, son, brother, uncle, grandson and friend. Brent passed away on September 18, 2024, at the age of 36. Born on February 29, 1988, Brent's leap year birthday was just one of the many things that made him special. His life was marked by a spirit of joy, love, and laughter that touched the hearts of everyone who knew him.

Brent had a unique gift for bringing light to even the darkest moments. Whether gathered around for card games filled with uncontrollable laughter and stories or simply enjoying time with friends and family, he had the rare ability to make anyone smile no matter the circumstance. His natural charm and warmth created unforgettable memories for those lucky enough to be part of his life.

Brent's greatest pride and joy were his children. He is survived by his loving wife Juanita and their four beautiful children: daughters Ryann and Peyton, and sons Pierce and Brody. As a father, Brent was endlessly devoted, caring, and present. His love for his family was the cornerstone of his life, and his children will always carry with them the love and lessons he so freely gave.

In addition to his wife and children, Brent is survived by his mother Becca Beck, stepfather Jack Beck, his sister Lexi De La Torre, brother-in-law Aaron De La Torre, and their children Hugo and Enzo. He also leaves behind his grandmother Jodi Lockett, whom he held a special place and bond in his heart, his grandfather John Inman, his father Larry Roland, his uncles Kevin and Jeff Roland, his aunt Ellen Roland along with a big extended family of cousins, aunts and uncles. Brent's bond with his family and friends was strong, and he shared a close and loving relationship with them all. His passing leaves a deep void in all of our hearts.

Brent was a fighter, and though he faced many challenges, his strength, resilience, and unwavering spirit were always evident. His light continues to shine through the love of his family and the memories shared with those who knew him.

Please join us for dinner, to share stories and to celebrate Brent's life at Old River Ranch on Saturday, October 12th, at 5:00pm located at 14500 Maricopa Hwy in Bakersfield, CA. Entrance and parking will be from Old River Hwy. So that we can get an accurate count for food please RSVP (text or call) 661-427-1845.

In lieu of flowers, we kindly ask that you support those struggling with the disease of addiction by encouraging them to seek help, offering support, or donating to organizations dedicated to recovery in Brent's honor, continuing his legacy of kindness and compassion. A personal note to anyone struggling with their own addiction - Every step toward healing, no matter how small, is a victory over the pain of your past. I want you to know that YOU MATTER and you deserve to live a life free from pain, and asking for help is the first act of courage that opens the door to your freedom.

Rest in peace, Brent. Your memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved you. You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
