Brenton Wade King III

Brenton Wade King, III, age 45, a native of Lake Charles and resident of Houma, La., passed away on May 3, 2025.

Brenton is survived by his children, Kaden Wade King, Mason Wade King and Cooper Stenger; his siblings, Kayla King Cheramie and William Adams, Jr.; his nephews, Cullen Wade Songy and Bryce Anthony Cheramie.

Brenton was preceded in passing by his parents, Brenton Wade King, Jr. and Darlene Guilbeau Adams; his step-father, William Adams, Sr.

Brenton faced life’s challenges with quiet strength. Though the road was not always easy, the last few years became a testament to his resilience. He worked hard to build stability, made thoughtful changes, and was beginning to see the rewards of his dedication. His journey was not just about overcoming obstacles—it was about rediscovering hope and embracing the life he had worked so hard to shape.

He found happiness in the small things—sharing laughter with his children, setting goals for himself, and knowing that every step forward was a step toward something better. His witty character and personality made a lasting impact on everyone that knew him.

Though he is no longer with us, his determination and love will be remembered by the people whose lives he has touched, carried forward in the lessons he shared, and held close by the family he adored.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Memorial Gathering in honor of Brenton on Friday, May 16, 2025, at Chauvin Funeral Home in Magnolia Chapel beginning at 10:00a.m. until the Memorial Service at 12:00p.m.
