We regret to announce the passing of Bret Johnson, age 50, of Donalsonville, GA. Bret passed away Saturday morning, December 23, 2023.
Funeral services for Bret Johnson will be Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Michael Wingertsahn and Rev. Tim Bell officiating. A private interment will follow at Friendship Cemetery with Wade Hornsby, Hank Pumphrey, Justin Edmunds, Chason Newberry, Ladon Swanner, Ronnie Dukes, Craig Lenz, and Spence Touchton serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Seminole County graduating class of 1991. Visitation will be held one hour before the service at 10:00 AM in the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home.
Bret was born on January 26, 1973, in Donalsonville, GA, to William (Bill) Johnson and Patsy (Pat) Anita Easom Johnson. He attended school in Seminole County. Bret owned and operated Johnson Well and Pump Services for most of his life, along with his father, until his passing. Bret continued to operate that business and was employed as plant manager at Greene Poultry Company for the past ten years. After surrendering his life to God in 2013, Bret worked tirelessly to influence, counsel, and mentor others in crisis. He was very much involved in the Seminole County Jail Ministry. Ministering was vital to Bret’s life, and he was passionate about leading people to the Lord. Bret had an unwavering love for his three girls, Leslie, Kylie, and Bethany. He cherished spending time with his daughters and making memories with them.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of thirteen years, Leslie Ingram Johnson of Donalsonville, GA; his children, Kylie and Bethany Johnson. Also surviving is his brother, Russ Johnson of Donalsonville, GA, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ronnie and Brenda Ingram; his brother-in-law, Brad Ingram and his wife Tanya; nephews Bret and Andrew Ingram (Kaylee), and niece, Briella Ingram.
Bret was preceded in death by his parents, William (Bill) Johnson and Patsy Anita Easom Johnson.
