We are sad to announce the passing of Bret Leuthner of Paramus, NJ, who lived his final two years in Hawthorne, NJ. He died at age 49, on December 31, 2023. Bret passed peacefully and surrounded by loved ones, after a battle with Pancreatic Cancer.
He is survived by his parents Lois and Ed Leuthner, sister Kimberly Leuthner, and 3 young children, Trevor Leuthner, Serena Leuthner, and Rylee Leuthner. Bret spent his life passionately involved in the sports community. He graduated from The Connecticut School Of Broadcasting, and went on to enjoy a wonderful career as a Sportscaster, Broadcaster, Play-by-play announcer, Talk Show Host, Coach, and Director of Broadcasting and Gameday Media Relations for Garden State Sports, William Patterson Hockey, and as the Voice of the Sussex County Miners and NJ Hitmen. Bret was a great father, brother and son, and was loved by many friends and colleagues. A service will be held in his honor at 10 AM, on Tuesday January 16, 2024, at Our Lady Of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Ridgewood, NJ.
