Mr. Bret Anthony Porter, age 55, entered into rest on Monday March 2, 2026.

He is survived by his son, Andrew Porter; long-time companion Loree Roberts; father, Rick A. (Debbie) Porter; sister, Tiffany (Robert) Gaboriault; and brother, Craig Anthony Porter.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Sylvia Bounds.

Mr. Porter was a Paramedic with Aiken County EMS for many years with his total career tenure lasting 29 years. He started as a Basic EMT and worked his way not only to a Paramedic, but he was a Lieutenant and Field Training Officer. He enjoyed playing golf and watching the Masters. He loved the Dallas Cowboys, game shows and the game "Backgammon". Bret was a servant that helped many people throughout his career and he made many friends. He will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched.

A memorial service with First Responder Honors rendered will be held on Sunday March 15, 2026 at 3PM at Millbrook Baptist Church in Aiken with Rev. Howard Burgess officiating. The family will greet friends on Saturday evening March 14, 2026 from 6-8PM at Jackson Memorial Funeral Home in Graniteville.

Along with Aiken County EMS, all agencies that attend will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff and nurses of Agape Hospice of Aiken for their exceptional care of Mr. Porter and his family during his time of illness.
